Featuring many of the relics uncovered by University of California, San Diego archaeologist Tom Levy on a series of digs over the past two decades in Israel and Jordan, as well as his ethnoarchaeological research in India, the show traced the evolution of human society from 6,000 years ago during the Copper Age, or Chalcolithic Period, to present day Israel, Palestine and Jordan.

Exhibition highlights included stunning images captured by renowned National Geographic photographer Kenneth Garrett, plus a collection of archaeological artifacts from the Israel Museum in Jerusalem, the UCSD Levantine Archaeology Laboratory and the Department of Antiquities of Jordan.

Journey to the Copper Age was developed by the San Diego Museum of Man, the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, the National Geographic Society and the University of California, San Diego.
