Why Science?
Maximizing the synergy of top talent and world-class resources…

The same enthusiasm and curiosity that drove Ted Waitt’s business success now drive his desire to support significant scientific breakthroughs for the benefit of mankind. The Waitt Foundation funds efforts that show exceptional promise to transform our world, not just by themselves, but also by their potential to act as catalysts for other advances.
Achieving Breakthroughs
Believing that goal-oriented science can inspire incredible innovation, we look for projects with focused objectives, achievable milestones and strong strategic plans. We then bring the best minds and global resources together to resolve differences, achieve critical breakthroughs and accelerate progress.
Over the past five years, the Waitt Foundation has awarded over $27 million to novel, innovative and interdisciplinary world-scale science projects that have pioneered new technologies and forged educational advances.
